Products
What is Skip the Soak and how does it work?
Skip the Soak is a patent-pending cream-to-foam dog cleanser. You apply it dry, massage it in, and rinse it off — no soaking required. It reduces bath water usage by approximately two-thirds and cuts total wash time by over 60%, making it ideal for bath-anxious, large, or sensitive-skin dogs.
What is Barrier Booster used for?
Barrier Booster is a natural nose and paw balm designed to protect and hydrate your dog's paws, nose, and calluses year-round. It's especially effective for dogs exposed to hot pavement, snow, salt, or rough terrain. It comes in two variants: Lavender and Coconut & Oat.
What makes Groomer's Gold different from other grooming creams?
Groomer's Gold is a 3-in-1 grooming cream that moisturizes, heals, and shields in a single product. It replaces the need for separate conditioners, balms, and hot-spot salves, making it a favourite for both professional groomers and everyday pet parents looking to simplify their routine.
Can I use Sun Shield on my dog every day?
Sun Shield is designed for use before sun exposure and should be reapplied as needed, particularly after swimming. It's formulated with non-nano titanium dioxide and botanical seed oils, making it gentle enough for sensitive areas like noses, ears, and bellies.
Which Barrier Booster variant should I choose?
If your dog has sensitive skin or fragrance sensitivities, the Coconut & Oat variant is fragrance-free and extra gentle. If you prefer a light, calming scent with mild antiseptic properties, the Lavender variant is a great choice.
Ingredients & Safety
Do Barks & Boops products contain any artificial fragrances or preservatives?
No. All products are free from synthetic fragrances, sulfates, petrolatum, and artificial preservatives. We use only clean, traceable, human-grade ingredients.
Are Barks & Boops products suitable for dogs with sensitive skin?
Yes. The entire product line is specifically formulated to be gentle on sensitive skin and safe for frequent use. Products like Skip the Soak and Barrier Booster (Coconut & Oat) are particularly well-suited for dogs prone to irritation.
Are your products tested on animals?
Barks & Boops products are developed with animal welfare at the forefront. The brand was built around the real care needs of a rescued dog, and products are refined through direct feedback from pets and their owners — not harmful testing practices.
Usage
How often can I use Skip the Soak on my dog?
Skip the Soak is gentle enough for regular, frequent use. It's ideal for quick cleanups between full baths, spot cleaning, or as a lower-stress alternative to traditional bathing.
How do I apply Barrier Booster?
Warm a small amount between your fingers and apply directly to your dog's paws, nose, or any dry or cracked areas. Use daily or before outdoor activities for best results.
How long does a tin of Barrier Booster last?
Barrier Booster has a 24-month shelf life. Because a little goes a long way, most pet owners find a single tin lasts several months with regular use.
Brand
What is the story behind Barks & Boops?
Barks & Boops was inspired by Charlie, a rescue puppy who was abandoned prematurely. His unique care needs revealed major gaps in existing pet products, and the brand was born out of a desire to create genuinely effective, natural solutions rooted in real experience and love for dogs.
Are there new Barks & Boops products coming soon?
Yes! Barks & Boops has two products launching in Spring 2026: a leave-in odor control spray to complement Skip the Soak, and an outdoor spray to help shield dogs from bugs and insects. A digestion support powder is also in development.
