This Dog Paw Pad Balm has been great. From the moment I started using it, I noticed how smooth and easy it is to apply. This really is a superior moisturizer, but I couldn't use it on my dog's paws. All 3 of them want to lick this stuff off. I don't know what attracts them to it, if they just love the taste of it or what. So it didn't work as a paw protector for us. I appreciate that it's likable, but the product doesn't get a chance to work before it's licked right off. Maybe they should try to make it taste bad...On the bright side, my sister tried it on her problem elbows and it cleared them up beautifully. Better than anything else she's tried, honestly. So though it didn't work for our dogs, my sister is thrilled with how fantastically it worked on her elbows.

This comes in a cute tin with a cute little card. I got this for myself but it could also go in a cute little gift box for a dog lover!Overall I found this balm to be great, just not what I had in mind. The smell was very mild so my dog didn't even bother trying to lick it off of his paws and nose. It is also fairly "stiff" so your hands don't get sticky applying it, nor does his fur stick to it on his nose.The moisturing effect is extremely impressive. His paws get very dry and crack in the window but even after about a week and a half I have found that problem to have gone away!I live in a really cold area so my main intrigue for this product was the mention of sidewalk protection against salt in the winter and heat in the summer. I can't yet speak to the summer but I can confirm it hasn't had an impact in the winter. He still lifts his paws and nips at them on salty days or walks on snowbanks to avoid the salt.Overall I think this balm is absolutely awesome. I think it is important to note, though that the sidewalk protection isn't very effective.
It smells like chocolate (must be from the cocoa butter), which I don't love, but it's not overpowering. I looked up all of the ingredients to ensure they were safe for my adventure cat, and happily they all are. It's very rare to find pet products that do not use things like lavender, aloe, citrus etc so this was a nice find. The product is quite firm and waxy when cold and soft and oily when warmed up on your fingers or pet's paws pads. It's not dense enough to act as a protective barrier between your pet's paws and snow/ice on walks, but is a nice product to apply once you get home to moisturize. We've been using it every day after hikes and once the product dries/is absorbed I don't notice a huge difference in the condition of his paw pads. So don't expect it to be a fix (nutrition and environmental are better avenues), but it does provide a nice temporary oily coating. I've been applying it to my cat's feet while he's lounging and he doesn't seem to lick it off right away, which is great (not a smell or taste he's attracted to or repelled by). The sticker on the top of the tin too big. It's larger than the tin itself so dirt and debris gets caught on/under it and it sticks to your hand a bit when opening. Canadian made. Ingredients clearly shown on the box and the tin. A nice product.
As a pet parents, I treat my fur babies like my kids. I would like to pick an organic and natural products for them. This paw blam contains of 100% natural ingredients such as organic bee wax, coconut oil, coca butter , jojoba oil, oatmeal and lanolin. The ingredients is so important especially you put it on their nose and paw where they might be able to lick it. I felt safe about this product. There is a slight natural scent comes from the shea butter and johoba oil. The scent is not stong to put on the dog nose. My dogs did not sneeze or try to rub it off when I first try it on them.This blam is very useful for my dog as they don't like to wear their boot during winter. The snow and salt on the road, it tends to dry up their paw very quickly. It can be use as a protective balm before the dogs go out for a walk. The bee wax in this blam can keep the snow and salt off the paw effectly. The blam can also be used as a moisturizer after walk. I gently massage the paw pad, it turns to nice black and soft pad right away.This is great product. My dogs pads got great result. Definitely recommend it.
Dog Paw Pad Balm comes in a decent size tin, nicely packaged. Full disclosure, I read the ingredients and thought this could work for my cats too so I got it for their little beans. If it didn't, there are enough dogs in the family to share it with. It is solid and even though they say on first use, press to break the wax layer; it is still very hard that a finger pad will not work but my nails do so I do tend to get a bit underneath my nails but it is all good stuff so I am okay with it. It absorbs pretty good although it is funny watching the cats after it's on...they shake their paws and walk like their on ice. 2 cats don't try to lick it off but another one does lick it off. It does help with their cracked beans in this cold winter weather. These are formerly feral cats so every little bit helps since they spent years on the street. Already noticed a difference in the paw pads. It does not have any real scent to the product which is nice; it is just neutral and that in itself is refreshing. I just love the simplicity of the ingredients; very hard to find an ingredient list so simple and pure even in natural products. Now the dogs have to share it with the cats...oh boy.
This is literally the best paw balm I've ever tried. It is so thick but spreads so thin when warmed up with body heat. You only need to use a little bit to cover all the paw pads and it seems to absorb very quickly. I like to apply this every night for my dog since he gets cracked paws during the dry winter months. It doesn't seem to make him itch and lick his paws like some other balms have done, so I'm really happy with it.There is a faint scent, like bitter chocolate mixed with something herbal. It's not really detectable unless you put your nose up to it.I also really love that this product is made in Canada with local ingredients and it was just freshly made the month before I ordered it. Definitely an excellent product.
No one like rough toe beans and food pads! When my girl gives me her paw, I want to feel soft paws, not have my hand exfoliated! This balm is just what I was looking for, and even after one use I can feel a difference. I love the adorable packaging - the printed box and cute labels are eye catching!#1 - it’s Canadian made! It’s made from locally sourced materials and the company is in Alberta. The balm is made with natural ingredients that I can pronounce, and that I’m familiar with. In fact, I use products with these ingredients on myself - so I trust them on my dog. The tin is well made and has a nice label. The balm is a little hard to dip into, so I recommend working on the edges, I was able to take small amounts amounts out there.It has a pleasant smell, not overly strong. I would buy this again and would love to check out their other products!
This does not smell the best. Basically just smells like wax? Which I guess is fine considering it's for dogs. I used on my small sensitive yorkie and it worked well. No reactions and softened up his little paws. I also used on my own dry hands and works well for that too!

It's been a brutal winter, and the salt has played havoc with my dog's paws (he's a recent rescue from the south). This balm has been very helpful in dealing with his paw pads that have had to adjust to all the salt and snow. The balm soothes his cracked paws, and blends into them easily. He's not interested in licking it off, which is nice, but it's nicer to know that even if he did, it wouldn't harm him. It's lightly scented but not perfumed. 5/5
We had a super rough winter this year, with ice, snow, and temperatures below. But this little, pleasant to open might I add, package arrived to help soothe out two dogs through the worst of it. Surprisingly enough my dogs actually look forward to getting this applied. I think they believe it's a pedicure... None the less, great product, would buy again. The only thing I would change is that it was a little softer, but it might just be that my environment is colder, and I'm sure I'll be greatful it's at the consistency it is during summer. Highly recommend to try if you are in need of paw care products.
This is an absolutely lovely balm for pets that I’m so happy to have on my shelf. It is targeted for dogs, their paws and noses, etc. And it works excellently for this! However the ingredients are so simple, gentle, and just plain GOOD that I felt comfortable using it on an allergic reaction rash on my cat. It soothed it very quickly and it is healing much faster now that I’m using this product on it.Overall this is such a lovely product and I’m happy to have found it. I love the name of the company, too! I wish them all the best and look forward to trying more of their amazing products soon.
My poor dog's paws get so dry and rough this time of year, because of the cold and she loves playing in the snow. I got this balm and have been putting it on her every day for 2 weeks now and there is such a difference with how soft and smooth her pads are! I am sure they would be even better except she licks it every time I apply it, so I'm happy about the clean, safe ingredients.
I love that this paw balm has minimal ingredients and it's housed in a wide container that's easy to open and use. The balm is very solid, melts slightly with your fingers but I end up digging my nail in to scoop some out and then rubbing it between my fingers to melt it before applying it on my dog. She likes to sniff and lick it so thankfully the ingredients are lick safe. My dog is the type to gain snowballs on her fur so I also rub a little along her legs so the snow balls don't cling and form.
I like that the ingredients in this product are all things I have seen before and know. It makes me feel safe putting it on my dog because even if she happens to lick it off, there is nothing in there that can hurt her. I was very happy to see that it is Canadian Made with locally sourced ingredients. It's a nice, thick balm that doesn't have much of a scent, which is appealing to me as I have a hard time with strong scents.
I have two beagles, and they spend a lot of time outside all year. During the colder winter months, their paws start getting a little rougher, drier, and cracked.The product isn't strong smelling; it's a subtle, nice smell which is great. It also rubs in clean on the dogs paws so we aren't leaving greasy paw prints everywhere. With that said, if you put on too much... you'll have mess.I expected the dogs to possibly lick it all off but they didn't. They gave it a few sniffs but ultimately left it alone. Some dogs might be different of course but my beagles weren't bothered.We've used it for the last three days now, and their paws certainly feel softer, and I'd like to think they appreciate it; I'm sure cracked paws on a dog are as comfortable as cracked skin on your hands or feet as a human.Overall, it's a great product. It is not overly greasy and keeps paws soft; dogs don't mind it. Will continue to use it.
When I received and unboxed this item, my dog was really interested in it. Somehow, he knew it was for him. So, I put a little bit on his nose, and he was quite pleased.This balm is pretty much odourless, and it goes on very easily. It's not mushy or goopy, and you need to apply it several times to your finger and the dog parts to get enough on there. But, that's the nice part. It's a bit more work in applying it, but it doesn't rub off in a step or two. Rather, it sticks on the pads and nose for protection.It's also a small independent Canadian business, so I will definitely support them and buy their products in the future. It's a quality product with cute and friendly packaging.I'm really happy with this product, and so is my dog. Highly recommend.
All natural, Canadian made paw balm - was very excited to use it on my grand dog, an 85 lbs German Shepherd, who we dog sitted for a week. We walk him on the street, no sidewalks. Lots of salt on the streets and wanted to protect his paws. The balm smells and feels great! But this huge dog was acting as if I was going to murder him when applying the balm. Had to let him go. Grand pup number two will visit soon, I am sure she will allow me to buff her little paws with this balm. Neither of them tolerate booties, I am happy to use this to keep their tootsies healthy and protected.
this is a really great moisturizing balm. i actually used a bit on my nose because it was getting raw from tissues. my nose was very sore and sensitive so i tried some of this on there the next day. it helped. the skin was dry and flaked off the next day and my nose is doing fine. i can only imagine how it works and paws and noses for puppers.the scent is pleasant enough with a nice coconut chocolate scent. i can smell the sheep oil that is used in there and the oatmeal too.it has quite a denseness to it.it worked well on the cracked skin on those paws. it absorbs fairly quick and doesn’t leave a residue on the skin. the smell can have some farm triggering memories.
