Barrier Booster - Nose & Paw Balm - Lavender

I get really worried about my dog's paw and nose, sometimes it looks too dry and cracked.His paws turned soft and smooth as soon as I applied the balm to them. He is very sensitive about who and what touches his paws and he will tend to lick them, so I was glad to learn that this was a lick-safe product too.The balm does start to soften a bit when exposed to body temperature, which I thought was pretty cool.As I was applying it I could feel my hand also getting softer, and also as if the balm was forming a protective layer. My knuckles tend to get dry very often and the skin starts getting white and peely, and the balm softened my knuckles and skin when I applied it to myself too.

This paw and nose balm is wonderful! It smells good and it’s incredibly moisturizing. My lab has some crusty dusty feet from always running around and being at daycare. She regularly has cracked pads and with only a few days use of this product there is a noticeable different in the look and feel of her paws. Also bonus that this product is made in Alberta!

Excellent item! My yellow lab has nose cracking issues due to the dryness of our climate. This balm has been the best I've found to reduce the severity of the cracking!

I love supporting Canadian companies and I'm thrilled when the product is even better than anticipated.Great way texture that stays on my dogs paws for quite a long time.You need to keep it in a warm place so it is easier to apply. Or if you have a smaller dog like my Boston Terrier American bulldog mix, just set him on your lap and and rub each paw directly into the tin and onto the wax and rub it and a bit.LOL. Works great! 😁😜

One of my dogs has a chronically dry nose and I ordered this to try as an alternative to coconut oil. I really like the smell and that it is lanolin, but it did make 2 of my dogs sneeze when applied to their noses. I think it will work well for my male dog's nose when the girl's are in season to help distract him, but I think the scent (though very pleasant) may be too much for their noses on a daily basis. I tested on their paws and it softens them right away, it has to be applied somewhat thickly though to leave a barrier, a light application soaks into the skin. The packaging is quite nice, love the name - Barks and Boops, lol. There is a wax seal on top of the balm, that you need to "pop" to reach the balm, the balm is soft and easy to spread. I have a sensitivity to some essential oils and I tested it on my hands, with no irritation or reaction, the smell dissipated quickly and it did leave my hands quite soft, with very little greasy residue. I like the product but wish it came with natural scent such as coconut rather than essential oils for use with dogs - but for myself, I like it scented, lol.
